  3. I don’t quite get it but basically what you are trying to say is…

    Ubuntu is an OS yea?

What do you actually mean by “A version of Linux OS”? Is it like “Linux version (Numbers inserted)” and instead of putting numbers it is called by a name? Or is it a software or something else?

So application as you mentioned are like what? Like Microsoft word?

Or is it like, for example installing windows in a Mac lappy?

Sorry didi, nt quite clear. (told you i dun get it, hehe..computer-word illiterate bah~~ :( )

    • Helo Zaimmy,

For windows users who want to use linux OS might be encounter some problems such as the way when installing programs or software and types of new commands to use which all of this different from windows..thats some of the disadvantages..

When talking of advantages compare to windows hmmm~:
      -No crashes
      -all linux have free software
-No virus(as you read from my pervious post)
-As you know for installing windows must have about 256MB RAM and 300Hz processor but for linux even low specification computer(64MB)can use it.

      ok later.

  9. so far this is the most interesting website i ever visited..are there any different between Ubuntu, Kubuntu and Xubuntu?

    Comment by Billah | March 20, 2009 | Reply

    • Hello Billah,

There are so many different between Ubuntu, Kubuntu and Xubuntu.

If you want your computer or laptop to have COOL graphic and application then you should try Kubuntu.

For computer whose have low Ram, processor or graphic then Xubuntu is suitable for them which consume low harddisk space.

Ubuntu is just normal use. For windows users who want to switch to linux then Ubuntu is a good start for them to learn and getting familiar.

      Bye
